First Draft for Script : Individual Project
This the script I came up with for my individual project. The main character is an assassin who ends up in a sticky situation. Hopefully I can get started on filming it within the next couple of weeks.
ext. street – night
PAUL, an assassin, who has been in the business for two years and is the bosses favourite, is waiting patiently in his car for the right time to do his work.
FADE IN
Paul finally gets his gun out of the glove box and makes his way to the house of his target. He presses himself against the wall outside the front door trying to keep out of sight. He takes out a small piece of metal shaped like a paper clip from his coat to jimmy open the door. With a turn of the metal clip, the door pops open. He sneaks in and darts around looking if anyone has noticed. He hears voices coming from down the hall.
He slowly makes his way towards the voices with the gun in his hand prepared for action. Once he finally makes his way to the door he takes a few seconds to psyche himself up to what he is about to do.
In the background a little boy, Ben, peers through a door from a room at the end of the hallway and watches Paul who is waiting outside the door. Little Ben pops his head back behind the door. Paul doesn’t notice Ben.
After Paul has gathered up enough courage he ‘BURSTS’ through the door. He points his gun to what he expected to be Maria, the booking ring leader and her partner/boyfriend Salvatore, instead, he is staring at a young mother Sophie folding some clothes away in the lounge room with her husband Tom.
Paul
(shocked)
Oh my God ! what ?!
sophie
(screams)
AAAAAAAHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!
Tom freezes
Paul points his gun back and forth between Sophie and Tom.
From another room Little Ben, comes tearing away through the hallway on a little bike, he rides at full speed to the door where his parents are, Ben crashes his way through the door (as he always does),with a toy gun in his hand.
Little Ben
Bang, Bang!!! Bang Bang!!
paul is shocked to see little ben. After a few moments he quickly composes himself and takes control of the situation.
Paul points the gun at sophie.
Paul
(sturnly and with a fierce look in his eyes) You live
Paul points the gun at Tom
Paul
You live
Paul points gun at little Ben
Paul
He lives… (threatening and with certainty)
but if you say a word to the authorities about this, if I hear anything. I’ll come back and finish you.
Sophie
(frantically)Yes ! Yes ! we promise on my sons life we won’t say anything ! I swear !
Paul begins to back out of the room with gun still pointed at Sophie and Toms direction, and heads out the front door.
